Autopia seemed not rececive too many good comments. Most people said the speed is not fast enough and not excited. Some people stopped at the track to take photos and it caused collision. Some poeple said the landscaping is not very special, all it has are trees...

Some parents would not want their children to get wet in UFO zone since they worried their kids to get sick.

Disney does this every single time for every single MK park in history. Throw in a slow moving car ride that can be throwned together quicker than any other ride they can muster up .... It's a good land-filler with it's "spaghetti" tracks thrown around in any area of 3 or so acres .. and poof! You have a ride to distract guests until something truly substantial can come along.

Walt did it for opening day: July 17,1955 ... it was done for WDW with not even the "promenade" attractions at all! It wasn't on DLP's Discoveryland list .. until last minute. And here we are again.

From the pom-pom trees in Fantasyland to the really bizarre trees in the UFO Zone to the hollow/woven tree in the Tahitian Terrace eating area, this park has some of the coolest trees I've ever seen. I'm sure that there are plenty of normal trees along the way, but I'm sure there is something interesting to look at. Otherwise, why would people stop to take pictures? : )

Well, maybe Disney should think that a ride that was exciting in 1955 is not as exciting 50 years later. In other Magic Kingdom, were you have 40 attractions, it is not a problem to have autopia. It is a nice little attraction. But in a park with only 12 rides, selling Autopia as the big first new ride, I must admit, I do not understand... This park needs Pirates, Haunted Mansion, BTM... Not Autopia.

Chinese dinners are served with several side dishes and there are no main courses.

What the heck were they expecting? The redneck Richard Petty Experience from WDW?!?!? Gimme a break! This is meant for kids to enjoy more than anything. If the Chinese Press worried as much about keeping up with the rest of the World about public manners as they do with trivial little things like the speed of the Autopia cars, maybe, just maybe, we would be able to say that China as a whole has finally arrived in the 20th century!!! Sheesh!!

Iger better relocate his family here and figure out PRONTO how to make this a park that MOST of us here was saying was nowhere close to theme park fans expectations and quality, doesn't matter how PRETTY it is. Of course, a lot of us were saying this about 6 months before opening, if not a year.

Hate to be right ALL the time ;D.

Iger is right, the growth in theme park business is in Asia. China has the biggest potential in substantial growth in theme park business.

Even I would know to how important it is to build more attractions for opening day!
