Needless to say, I can't wait to explore and immerse myself in Buena Vista Street! Don

A closer look at a "clean" version of the blueprint shows the footprint for the two supports that straddle the sidewalk in place. Of course, that could change... as we have seen!

I also hadn't really considered that some of the names will just be used for facades, rather than 'actual' businesses, like Hotel Marceline and some others on Main Street. I guess I feel better about them in that context. Also, the image with the aerial and blueprint side-by-side is really helpful at seeing what all will actually change. It certainly looks like the plaza that's left where the Sun Icon was will be a whole lot smaller, and a pretty strange little shape. It will be interesting how that area turns out, in comparison to the vast, blank, open spaces of the Sunshine Plaza.

Originally Posted By DlandDug >>How on EARTH are they gonna do all of this tear-down and re-construction while still getting people in and out of DCA?<< There are a number of solutions, some of which have been discussed in the past or on other sites. They have already moved guests to the sides of the original entry gates as they build the new ones. They can also move guests to one side of the new street as they build the other, then reverse. Or they can bring guests through existing gates located in Hollywood Pictures Backlot or Condor Flats. Whichever way they do it, it will be complicated. LaughingPlace and other sites will be keeping close tabs, and announcing each new route until it's all completed.

Hollywood Pictures Backlot would be perfect - in the corner. Two level - upper level dining and look out with bottom level access to some shops and restrooms - perfect stop for leaving/arriving During bad weather - great way to spend a few moments before heading to DTD or Disneyland.
