The presentation of colors on a stage in front of Cinderella Castle and Gloria Estefan's acapella performance of the National Anthem were moving. Lee Greenwood was exactly as I expected and the use of pyro was great, too. Aside from the event itself Disney's quick response was really impressive to me. They had ponchos out for the new citizens and their families as well as the media. Thankfully the heavy rain didn't last long. And I was also delighted by the warm welcome guests received entering the Park. I don't often make it to the Park at opening but I must've received nearly a dozen friendly Good Mornings between the parking lot and getting to the stage. Rebekah.
