I went in July once when I was 16 as part of a much larger trip, that was a one time deal. August is one month that I have never been to Florida and August can remain a Florida free month for the rest of my days.

Gluttons for punishment?? ------------------ when kids get a little older in tough school systems they cannot be pulled out for 2 weeks - and still catch up work wise ( especially high schools ) - so you go when they are out- and between club sports ( if they play such and school)- those 3 horrifically hot months are it.
