I was a little bummed from reading some of the earlier previews which basically gave it
a "ok, but will age quickly" review, but
from looking at the pics and video, it looks
very exciting. I can think of a lot of things
that they could continue to tweak to keep this show relatively fresh. (ex. Jet skis). And I know that my son (who's a car nut) will love it.

Get to see it in three weeks! I can't wait!

ORWEN: All I know is my good friend, Rose Nyland, had to lose her nice home to this monstrosity of a show! Was it worth it? Well, just ask four homeless Golden girls and see what THEY have to say about it all!!!!

I always felt that was so incredibly cheesy, since, they're no more the director of the stunt show than I am.

Could it be long before this show makes its way to DCA?

There needs to be better pacing, as far as my sisters and I are concerned. All these breaks into the action--before you have a chance to get excited about anything--really annoys a witch--who has to rely on the presence of good looking hunks sitting nearby, in order to hold her attention throughout the entire performance.

It's the same pacing problem at 'Indiana Jones.' It seems like that first set change to go from the caves to the village takes FOREVER!

The show is ok.. but as Jim mentions..it does take forever for them to set up the action bits, so we are treated to many clips and behind the scenes explanations oof how everything comes together for this show. One thing I must say is...the jumbotron picture quelity is rather better than the one used in WDSP. You could actually see the details on the screen as they explin step by step how the stunts are set up.
Herbie's cameo is a shameless plug and I wonder how much longer after the new Herbie movie premieres, this bit of comedy will be a part of the show. The Herbie "split" was unexpected and I don't recall seeing it done in Paris.
Also, seems to me we are more removed from the action here than in Paris as the lower portion of the theater seems much more roomy that the original stage at WDSP.

The stunts are impressive to say the least. The noise will scare kids and there were some children who started crying as soon as the first car went off at high speed. So if you take kids into this show... be cautious. No one seemed to make a mention of this before the show.

The downside of this stunt show, just like Paris'... is that after a while, all the stunts begin to look alike. Yet, it is an impressive presentation to say the least.

TDLFAN's rating: C++ (if the seating stands had been of better quality and at least have seatback rests, it would have been a B experience for me)

Yes, it could. That thing is huge. I really don't think there is any room in DCA to put it. They could conciveably put the seats backed up against TOT and Bugs Land, and have the set as the berm, but that would take up the entire parking lot area, and any chances of future expansion. Even using all of the available areas to expand, the set and stadium would have to be signifigantly scaled back.

Good to know. I think DCA needs something more substancial than a stunt show -- even in the short term.

This has been part of the Paris show since day 1, even before the LL movie was ever announced.
