and since Doobie did such a wonderful pictorial on his LP Ointment: Around the MK, there was no need for me to take pics of the same...so... I'll just make some observations and opinions..

-The automated Ticket Machines at TTC.. Hmm, the tent just looks cheap. The dispenser machines have an odd look to them but nevertheless...I am sure they worked for some since only *some* people seemed inclined to use them. I would have concidering how long the lines were for tickets in nearby ticket windows..
-Monorails... I was in 'Black'. Came to a haul three times to wait for traffic clearance. Not good.
-Mono Station at MK. Improvements continue..new railings being installed.
-Three more automated ticket machines installed at the MK's main entrance, but didn't appear to be functional yet.
-TDLMOM expressed her dismayed at the (in her words) unacceptable sanitary conditions on Main Street around the popcorn cart in front of the Package pickup location (formerly the Art of Disney/ Sun Bank etc etc)
-Main Street sidewalks are looking quite bad, cracked and simply wasted away and uneven. These areas need HUGE TLC. If all other DL's have beautiful bricked sidewalks around main Street and the hub, why can't the MK have them as well. Simply bad bad bad show, which sadly doesn't get any better as we go further into the MK. When was the last time these walkways were preassure cleaned?? 1994?? Really!!
-Tomorrowland Terrace, now featuring new signage "Bay 1: Chicken/ Bay 2: Burgers/ Bay 3: Soups and salads" Nice attempt and one that should explain to guests better than you can't get burgers if you are in Bay 3 (like some of then can read or will read these nice sign..)
-20K ex-lagoon area. TDLDAD spotted an imagineer (or appeared to be one) by the lagoon with plans in hand looking over the area and comparing with his papers. I sneaked close to him to take a peek...and if I am not mistaken, what I saw in his hands looked like a bona fide "Meet and Greet" area in a garden-like setting. Upon further examination, I noticed that a paved portion of the area goes under the contruction wall into what appears to be a woodsy area behind the remaining wall, complete with some trees that are already planted in place in what used to be the dead center area of the lagoon. So once the walls are gone, we'll have either a nicely landscapped Meet and Greet or a nicely landscapped garden to just park strollers or sit down.
-The castle is still being prepared for the Happiest Celebration ever staged from another park, but frankly...what little they have done so far doesn't look as nice as the artwork I saw, which got me all excited. Don't get me wrong..I do like the Kaa sanke and other characters around the castle's upper areas, but those golden rope cords and other ornamental touches look rather...cheap. Still too early to call it a success or a golden bomb. We'll see in May or late Apr.
-The hub..hhmm...I really wanted to hate this newly redesigned area but you know?? I like it. Now it matches Town Square's and also effectively eliminates the benches in the area and no tall trees blocking the view (it will be the place to suntan come summer) so maybe, it will make it easier to watch castle shows with more convenience. Plus, makes the hub look much more expansive than before, but still much much smaller than TDL's.
-Plaza pavillion is closed for renovations and so is the Venus Merchants store.
-TDLMOM was totally put off by the fact that walking from one gift shop to the next.."they are selling the same stuff!! NO variety whatsoever! Pittiful!" In her own words folks.
-Haunted Mansion's FP was closed and the line moved much better. It appeared long but it actually took 10 minutes to do. They set up chains to keep the queue in a single file snaking it's way into the attraction. Everything moved quite well and expeditiously, albeit, we could have used a custodial in that line since it was trashed, and I was embarrased for the japanese girls in front of us in line since they see no such disgusting sights at TDR. They were giggling loudly as they spotted my "Universal Studios Japan" T-shirt!!! Once inside the ride, our tour came to a haul twice, but we remained "quietly seated in our doombuggies..."
-POTC. I don't like what they have done to it. It's simply politically incorrect to make this classic ride a political correctness statement. Awful.
-Finally... too many teeny boppers in the park. Seems like they have been holding Cheerleading competitions on property for like the past 4 months!!! What's up with that?!?!?

We left at 7pm since TDLMOM and TDLDAD were tired and wanted to go have supper off the park. I will have to go to check out these new outfits on the Electromen of SpectroTragic Parade.
    Till next time.

I did pick up some trash out of flower beds in liberty square though.. if the cast members won't do it... I will! The worst crowd/teeny bopper situation was in that hellacious Big thunder/splash area where there is really only one road in and out aside from a teeny bopper making out with her sly looking blonde BF right in front of us in the queue of Space mountain... I wanted to pull them apart! She was so not good enough for him! ;-)

But I don't think that will ever happen, at least in this decade.

You know? I sued to be like that and do it all the time but I don't anymore. Why do their job? Why justify management position about short staffing and the lack of need to keep WDW clean? For every one piece of trash I collect on their behalf, it's one more reason for management to argue why they really do not need more custodials out there. Not me, I won't do their job, not anymore. At $60+ a day ticket, they are more able than ever to afford having enough Custodials out there doing their job.

ORDDU: And the cute statues of Disney characters that used to surround the Partners Stature! What's to become of THOSE?! They were so adorable!

ORWEN: Oh, I sure hope Disneyland isn't planning to do anything like this with THEIR Hub!!
