The parade appears 'decent'. Nothing too special imo (at least on video) and hopefully will be spruced up with a few new floats (as they have been doing with the Halloween parade over the past two years), assuming they decide that this special event is worth keeping around for many years to come. It appears to have two new floats, one of which is the very cool Pirate ship float. The rest are slightly modified floats used in either the daytime parade or the other "special" holiday parades at Christmas or Halloween. I know it will be criticized to death by a few for reusing many of the same old floats and I agree it could have used a bit more, but I still question the long-term success of this special event and wouldn't be surprised if Disney is simply testing the potential for this to be an annual event at this time. The main reasons I question it is because of the time of year and also that there is no major holiday to tie it with that the average guest can identify with.

The lighting crew appears to have done a wonderful job once again for these special event parties and I love all the characters in their Pirate garb, something I've only seen on the cruise line before.

I probably won't attend the event this year, so thank you for the update! If I had the time, I could probably justify going just to see the fireworks.

While I was standing in line for the hammer frog jump whatever a wind blew over a couple of the "themed" potted plants. Then not a minute or two later two of the castmembers fell over each other and slammed there heads on the trains que rails. All while the WDW managers just watched. I myself and a few other guests went over and assisted the castmembers.

My advice watch the fireworks from outside the park. Or if they do not do a sweep just sit in the hub or on mainstreet and watch the fireworks and the parade for free.

The rest of the event left much to be desired

I saw another picture of him in the allers.net photos of the party and was pleased to see a familiar face he was the magician who went by the name of professor Terrance in the old Diamond Horseshoe revue, it's really nice to see him.
