Originally Posted By CTXRover A quick note, the shop in the center of the Contemporary concourse as pictured in this update is in fact only temporary as the resort's ongoing refurb extends to the public spaces given that the rooms are now done. Over the rest of this year and next, expect to see vast changes to the lobby to the earth tones seen in the rooms, a reconfiguring of the former food and fun center (whose arcade just moved to a redone area that housed the former gift shop, hence the makeshift one in the concourse now) with a new restaurant, as well as a re-do of the Concourse eateries and shops, with the addition of a more formal shopping area in the middle of the concourse. So yes, if original concept art from last year is still an indication, expect a gift shop in the middle of the concourse, however it will look and feel permanent and formal instead of just racks as is now the case. In addition, expect enhancements/changes to the landscaping and roadways leading to and from the resort, likely in anticipation of the new DVC/Contemporary Suites tower, as the entire resort continues to be modernized and made into something befitting of the name 'Contemporary'.

I haven't seen any plans for the new tower. I'm hoping they do it right, but we'll see. >BTW, Danny, I'm writing from a place even an old fart like yourself could get a woman's attention ... Not chaning it to something more relevant to today's audiences may be a good thing in a few years if Disney Pictures' plans to remake that film ever come to fruition.

I noticed on Friday that they were adjusting the tension on some of the cables on the bridge, which may or may not help reduce any future damage.
