That Wide World of Sports place... Is it only for events or is it a decent walk-in attraction? Hall of Fame-ish or just a stadium? Never been there.

I only hope this is a short term fix to something even more thrilling to generations to come. And how come there are so many scaffolds, I thought the park was supposed to be in prime condstion for the 50th Anniversary Celebration. I'm visiting in October, I hope the excitement is not only a distant memory already

Doobie... I thought the Irish Pub was supposed to open on the 1st of Sept? Laura and I have been here a week now and haven't gone over there yet, but we were looking forward to see the Pub. From your pics, it looks like it's still under construction. Do you have an opening date?

    Thanks!

Oh.. I sent you a private e-mail a couple days ago, did you get it? It was from my gmail account so maybe your spam filter kicked me out? .. or maybe you have it SET to kick me out? ha! ;)

If you think about it, the majority of the MK is geared towards older kids. Even Fantasyland is filled with "remain seated" rides for them and having this area to allow them to just let loose and burn it off is great. I'm sure most parents of small children can relate. (I'm not a parent by the way, but I am a happy Uncle).

If they were to fill in the similar sub area of Disneyland, it would be a different story. With DL being in the middle of Anaheim, water features are at a premium. At the MK, there is water all around and it rains quite often, so I don't think it will be as missed.

Just MY opinion of course. :)
