Or, I'm an idiot and you guys got a phenomenal scoop.

I agree though, the process of people becoming familiar with this will be a temporary frustration.

One person doesn't get a 10 day ticket for slightly more then a 4 day ticket, uses the 4 days, and then has a 6 day ticket to sell after-market.

This in turn also effects the ticket brokers who sell partially used Disney tickets.

Think of the AP. An AP can't be used among two people. Well unless the relative size of your finger bones are identical enough to pass for 1 in 100. Identical twins anyone?

In the same vein, a ticket holder under the new media also is tied to their ticket. That is why Disney can afford to make 7-10 days so much more cheap on an incremental basis.

If you haven't cheated the system in the past; this change benefits you greatly - other then having to scan your fingers.

On a side note, I've always welcomed the finger scans. To me, it's a lot less of a hassle then waiting for someone to come over and check a handstamp on re-entry.

It's a random crapshoot. Just like the people are off-property guests and try to show up on an early entry hoping they'll be able to sneak through a turnstyle while one of the CMs are occupied.

It depends what CM you come across that very moment. Most will at least ask for ID before they reprogram the strip, and with that you're up a creek still. You have to hope that you get there, put on a big show for your finger not being correct. I think the odds are against that happening. I have only NOT been asked for my ID once, ever. I assume that was only because I had my family of APs with me, and theirs' all worked.

I'm not going to get into whether it's morally wrong, or not, to buy a partially used pass; I could argue both sides. However, chances are you're not going to be able to use it anymore.

They didn't install additional turnstyles for nothing.

(She's a little obsessive compulsive) Who's going to know which person had which ticket to re-enter with? We end up with every ticket at some point.
