    I think it's pretty cool but I have to wonder about those art pads. Very creatively done, but will they be a problem come hurricane season? I'm sure they have taken that into consideration, but all I can see is the wind getting under them in that tunnel and we all know what power nature has. I know that sounds negative but it is the first thing I thought about when I saw them.

    Mermaid is the same design as the All Stars and Pop Century...so no.

    That's a shame that the Mermaid buildings won't get much more decoration. They could really benefit from some tall trees or something to help break up the monotony.

    For what the hotel is, I think it's coming together quite nicely. I especially like the semi-3D mural on the Nemo building. The prices they are charging for this place are a little insane, but it seems like it will do a good job of delivering what it promises.

I've never seen the other Disney budget properties, and to be honest I haven't paid much attention to them, but by the looks of it the only reason for staying at one of these places would be convenience.

    I just looked up the All Star Movie Resort rates on Trip Adviser and they are charging $149 a night for that place. All Star Music is $294. Yikes!

    We've almost always stayed there as a family because of price and convenience. We don't spend all that much time at our resorts anyway, save for a midday swim, so it doesn't really bother us.

    They're definitely not. But none of the Disney hotels are, TBH.

    But they're worth the convenience of not having to drive anywhere.

    I think if you're going to WDW with kids, and plan to spend up to a week in the area staying there might makes sense. You get smattering of Disney theming along with convenience for a lower price (I'm guessing) than other Disney properties.

    But who wants to be bothered with a rental car while in Orlando? If your whole purpose is to visit the parks and save money you might as well deal with the buses, which are free. The car will basically be sitting in a parking lot all day.
