In addition, there were at least a couple of showings of Fantasmic - all topped off with the traditional fireworks show. To my knowledge The Magic Kingdom never had that kind of entertainment lineup on a regular basis.

    Let's start thinking of WDW as DL's ugly stepchild.

They do have the big stage in front of the Castle at MK though, and depending on what year it is and what budget they got, they can put on a good afternoon show there. That's something Disneyland could never pull off in front of its Castle.

    So here's the rundown for the Electrical Parade, as it ended its run in DCA back in April, 2010 before the DCA parade route was shut down for two years.

    DCA - Disney's Electrical Parade
    Run Time = 20 Minutes
    Floats = 16
    Push Units = 8 (mostly the twirling bugs)
    Dancers/Performers = 47
    Characters = 32

    Before the DCA construction took over completely in mid 2010, Anaheim was doing three separate parades per day on peak days. One or two afternoon parades at Disneyland, a Pixar Play Parade in the afternoon and an Electrical Parade at night at DCA. Since the Anaheim execs made such a public issue out of Florida only "borrowing" the Electrical Parade for two years, you wonder how that parade slots back into the daily roster in 2012 now that World of Color is so succesful? It should be interesting to see how the daily parade schedule shakes out in Anaheim a year from now when Cars Land is open and all the construction is over.

    To me, quality is always important, and that is why Disneyland is my fave resort. Though Paris I think has the nicest day time parade.

    Yes. It's definitely a classic. I love the EP and hate it at the same time. It's kind of the same as It's a Small World.

    Better to say that DL is better than the Magic Kingdom. Overall, WDW is a much better resort then DLR.

    I've been wondering about that. I'm glad that it's now finally settled.

You got a pretty good vantage point from the top level, seeing it as it made its first appearance there near the Alice attraction, and then all the way up to the curve in the road in front of World. You're right in front of a speaker too so you could hear the change in music as each unit passed.
    Personally I think it's a pretty good parade. I love how they added "The Three Caballeros." The only thing I might change is adding a couple more units (I think a nod to the "Aristocats" might have been cool) and giving the parade some sort of closure with an end unit that wraps it up a little better. It sort of just ends after "Mary Poppins."
    I think my favorite unit though is the "Princess and the Frog." I like the music, the float, and the dance number is quite good out there in front of the float.
    Overall, a good parade.

    Thats probably because WDW is further away making it more of a special visit. DLR is far enough for me to make it feel special. I am sure i would feel the same about WDW too.

    Can someone personally take whoever is in charge of the WDW MK parade and drag him to DL to MAKE him watch it - Please !!!

    If I have to see that tired ole POS mirror castle barge one more time I'm gonna scream ....

    LOVE LOVE LOVE Soundsational .... And Mr X would be perfect in this parade :))
