I wouldn't ever plan my day around seeing this show, but if I happened upon it with a four year old in tow it would likely be a harmless 10 minute diversion.

It doesn't make up for the generally crummy offerings on Main Street and in Tomorrowland, but at least it doesn't hurt.

I think it is very well done and the best offering out of all of the new little entertainment offerings the MK just premiered.
I say WDW ent. got it right with this show.

How come this time around they are not making a big fuss about this show being (partly) from TDL, as was the case with Cinderellabrassive??

Even getting everyone to chant "Dreams Come True" near the finale is from the TDL show. I do hope somehow the soundtrack makes it's way to CD though, as I do like the music, and it would be nice to have English versions of the TDL stuff.

Yes, it is like Mickey's Gift of Dreams, but it takes a few things from it, and isn't trying to be a carbon copy. Also, it is not being marketed as a Tokyo import, like Cinderellabration and that whole mess.
As for what kind of budget's we know WDW is only willing to shell out, the show does work for me and I like it.

It played for almost a decade if I am correct, and had a moajor cult following among regular park guests. So much popular that we now have it's sequel "One Man's Dream 2: The Dream lives on.." playing the same theater in Tomorrowland.
