My best mental image of that building is standing in the entryway, looking out over a crowded pavilion while the remote controlled Met Life baloon soared near the ceiling. Very sad that it declined into just a meeting space.

And it's really hard to believe that people would be lined up FIVE HOURS EARLY for David Cassidy. Ah well, everyone has their superfans . . .

They are probably the same people that camp out overnight at Best Buy to get the latest X Box release. They are conditioned to spend their entire lives in lines Dan.

And all age groups attend and can have fun in a secure environment.

The thing is they are there because they come cheaply. VERY, VERY CHEAPLY.

Disney tosses in rooms at the BW, some meal vouchers for the band and family along with the pay. Most of the folks who perform do it because they enjoy the event and look at it more as a free Disney vacation for their families.

Of course! I didn't mean to take anything away from the "old timers" who are still out there doing it. I think Paul Revere is still one of the funniest guys out there. Both Davy Jones and Peter Noone are very entertaining, charming guys. And I was really surprised to hear that the 2 remaining original members of Three Dog Night still totally have chops!

But, all that said, there's still absolutely no reason to line up at noon for a 5:15 show for any of the artists on the schedule.

I walked right in & got a good seat for Tony Orlando a few years ago... as we were exiting, guests were lined up for the next show.
