I guess given all of MK's shuttered restaurants we really shouldn't have expected them to have a new one this big that is open all the time. It's just a shame that they've put so much effort into this location, when it won't even be fully open at any single point during the day. Other than the snow outside the window, do we know what any of the special effects are? When the restaurant was announced, it sounded like there would be a lot of neat things worked in, but we haven't heard any real details on that since the initial announcement.

I guess the Ballroom is the big "wow" factor with the restaurant, and if people could just use it as a casual lunch venue, (a)it takes away from it's upmarket appeal, and (b), less people would be inclined to book an expensive dinner there and just go for the cheap option of lunch.

Just from looking at the photos, these tables seem too close to the entrance where folks are queued up, waiting for a table. They also seem 'removed' from the main Ballroom, and the various elements inside. It seems to me that these tables have the same problem as the ones in Blue Bayou that are next to the entrance. Those tables are the worst! You don't get the 'Full Monty' of the bayou experience, with the frogs croaking, crickets chirping, fireflies blinking, et al. All you get at those tables -- for the same price -- is the loud chatter of folks waiting for their tables plus the constant stream of patrons entering and exiting the restaurant, or those taking trips to the restrooms while dining. Do these tables in the Ballroom appear to have the same problem? Thanks!
