From what I've seen of AK's decorations also, it looks like Disney has given its Holiday decorating team its budget back plus more for this year (after cutting it post 2001).

I love to go around to all the resorts too and check out the decorations there, especially Grand Floridian. Sometimes they have a guy out front giving away roasted chestnuts, I don't even really care for the things but I just love the gesture, it's fantastic!

Originally Posted By CTXRover ^^AK's first few years had minimal decorations, which I always attributed to the fact that I never got the feeling it was an ideal park to decorate given its natural/jungle-like appearance. However, over the past few years or so, they have really decorated the park nicely with more each year. I believe it was two years ago that they turned Camp Minnie-Mickey into a character Holiday get-away. They've done an excellent job with decorations for this land, including snow caps on all the light posts and probably 15-20+ individual 7 foot trees each decorated with impressive detail to represent a particular character or movie. Unfortunately if you don't go back into that land, you never see it. They also decorate Dinoland with quite a few decorations. However, they aren't overly impressive but do fit into the 50-60's traveling carnival idea that is the Dinorama portion of the land quite well. Basically most of the decorations are 50's time period garlands and decorations with tinsel trees and garlands, etc. It all looks very nice at night (which AK will get more of this holiday season) The buildings around Safari Village are decorated with some cool garlands, but get lost among all the jungle plants that surround the buildings. The inside of most shops are also nicely decorated, including some neat wreaths inside the store in Harambe. AK's tree sits outside the park's entrance and is one of the neater decorated trees on property imo with authentic safari-like decorations.
