Missing ToonTown BigTime.I am guessing all those people in line answered the survey with happy faces tho.
    Have a magical day

And they're going to remove a classic dark ride for this in Fantasyland???

And using the Imagination butterfly effect? Terrific.

In all honesty, this may actually get me to wait in line for Mickey.

As much as I am critical of the Mouse, I love it when they prove me wrong. :)

Dude give it a break. It looks good. And the screens aren't touch. They're posters that come to life.

And it's not self promotion it's called theming. You just need to complain about something.

You're right, who cares that they made the Mickey meet and greet appealing?

Come on man, give them a break.

    <<Yeah, by ripping out a ride...>>

Huh? Last time I checked there was no ride here...

Again, for the first time ever in 56yrs, the entrance to an MK park. A part of the park that is supposed to reperesent 1890-1910, Walt's boyhood, is COMPLETLY DEVOTED to waiting in line for College Programers in mouse outfits. LOVELY.

While the theming for Mickey does look nice, I'm not sure how I feel about all of the in-jokes and Disney references. It was fun to find them when they were hidden between the completely made up and the historical items, but now that they're everywhere, it just becomes branding, and it's far less exciting to find things you recognize from Disney's past. It's a shame that the little details went this route, since it does look like the overall theme is pretty well executed (though the trunk full of Mickey's clothes is creeping me out a little!).

The store on the other hand... They went to all that trouble to theme the fixtures and everything inside, and then typical Merch team dumps generic plush & princess crap all over it. It's kind of pathetic...

So, a plus for the new digs, but a big minus on the bland merchandise...

THIS!! Agreed! When you MARKET the "hidden" surprises, you've just killed them. And I can understand this pitfall. I actually bought a Hidden Mickey book for my son years ago because he thought that was so fun. But it's NOT fun when it's in a book and everyone finds them and the game becomes a checklist. Oy!

The princess set up was lame, but it's temp so whatever!

    1. Main Street has always had tons of characters walking around during the morning from what I remembered as a kid, and I'm in my 30's

    2. Since Toon Town is no more where would you have the flagship character of the company located? This seems to be the best spot. Think of it as Mickey and Minnie welcoming you to their home.
