I could see this move, if they were going to build an attraction based around the technology: they might want it to seem brand new rather than people saying "that's the same thing as that dinosaur we just saw at Animal Kingdom!"

    As for me I enjoyed Lucky - I thought it was a pretty cool atttraction ( yes I do like dinosaur stuff in general so that likely sets me up to like Lucky) - but I thought the show when he was in AK was pretty cool.

    Lucky is alive and well. They just had Imagineering Day at the studio in Burbank on Friday the 11th and Lucky was there and he looking beautiful. I am just so jealous that my husband got to see him and I did not.

    My husband was able to go at his lunch and but he did take pictures for me.

    Was it excessive to take Lucky out into the parks? Possibly. Did Disney overhype Lucky as a marketing tool? Yes.

    Lucky was in Hong Kong for the grand opening of HKDL in Sept 05.

    I really like Lucky. I don't know why people would bag on him. Although no E-ticket, he's at least as interesting as much of the other streetmosphere in the parks.
