My daughter and I enjoyed the tour but probably wouldn't do it again unless we went with another train crazy person. You get to see all the controls inside the engine. They show you how they switch the tracks. You go back to the roundhouse and then you ride into the station on the 2nd train of the day . The first has a special car without sides for the characters and so the public can not ride it. After that the guide fills you in on all sorts of history that relates to Walt and his love of trains. If you really love trains you will just love this. They explain all about the grading of the track and how difficult it is to manuever especially in the heat etc. So go for it and there are a few surprises as well.

    Thanks to both of you for your help! I think we WILL take this tour. I'm not really an enthusiast when it comes to steam trains, but the fact that they're such a big part of WDW and DL...it perks my interest. Also, I look forward to any tour, especially those that take you into the park before opening and behind the scenes.
