Speaking of photos, the new paint job on the castle really helps it stand out against the typical blue sky day of Central Florida. I suspect it might blend a little more on those cloudy days, though. Work continues on Center Street, makes me wonder what they're doing back there? The family fun day parade was running frequently, but seemed to be down on 'float' from it's original line-up. Maybe the Hula-hoops are just gone temporarily. In Tomorrowland, the stage for High School Musical Pep Rally has grown and so has the show. While the set still isn't as cood as the one at California Adventure, the songs and performances appear to have been imported from the California show. What they had before was a really pathetic attempt, this was much better. The walls were down around the exit doors for Laugh Floor and my son wanted to go see 'Monsters Inc', but no previews today, sorry kid. Also saw into the queue area and noticed that all the backdrops from the character meet and greets were still up in their. So, I don't see this attraction making a January opening date. There was, however, a new 'wait length' sign attached outside what will be the exterior queue for the attraction. I keep thinking 400 seats a show, 1200 an hour, and wonder if this will be able to satisfy the guests who have to wait 40+ minutes to get in. Had lunch at Harbor Galley and a was sad because the Tuna sandwhiches there weren't up to their usual high quality affair. The bread was stale and the tuna salad runny. Very sad to see no Xmas show at The Country Bears. Very sad to see almost no holiday entertainment at all for park guests. I guess I'm spoiled by Disneyland's holiday season. I noticed a lot more warn down paint, broken decor, and shabby looking tables and chairs today. But I also noticed that the main street photographers were in era-specific costume today (themeing, what a concept). I leave you with a quandry. They've brought out a new park map with holiday themed items on it. For instance, the Xmas tree is shown at Xmas tree point (although it is still located at the castle... which makes me wonder why can't they have two trees and just take one down on the days they're filming in town square?). But they didn't give the Galaxy Theatre an icon despite that fact that the Holiday Show starts playing there this week? Oh well.

I thought that the holiday show only debuts AFTER MVMCP's finish their run, which gets later every year.

At least the last two years the holiday show in Tomorrowland has had both day and night shows.

Believe me ... it must be done. And it will be. <<I seldom complain about or return food unless an order is just plain messed up. The problem is nothing ever gets solved that way. There's no way of measuring just how many people (in any business) just go away ... no PowerPoint can show what business is lost ... no way to project it. So it's just ignored. Like your soagy tuna on stale bread. <<At least the last two years the holiday show in Tomorrowland has had both day and night shows. >> Good to know. I haven't been to WDW at the holidays in 4-5 years but in those days, the show didn't run day and night.

The other parks will have a few things, but Epcot is wall to wall with Santas fron all over the world, the beautiful Lights of Winter, and in incomparable Voices of Liberty doing wonderful arrangements of traditional Christmas songs. I really REALLY love Epcot at Christmas time!

Absent "low quality food" showing up as a significant problem on the guest exit surveys, it can be very difficult for something like this to show up on the radar screen. Also, consider that for any particular food outlet, their typical "repeat guest" might be someone that comes once every year or two, as even a guest that comes to WDW once a year might only go to a particular food outlet once during the trip. So unlike a restaurant in the real world, there could be a significant quality problem at a particular outlet at WDW that drives repeat business away in hordes, yet this won't show up on any sales report or spreadsheet until months later. And by that time, the person that made the decision to cut quality in order to Increase Shareholder Value no doubt has validated their decision by showing increased profit and no (short term) drop in sales, and maybe even got a medal pinned on them. I would hope that WDW management has a system in place to detect such situations and act on them sooner rather than later. But my fear is that eventually there will be a situation where such a system gets in the way of delivering the numbers back to Burbank, and that it would be sacrificed for short-term gains.
