So I say something witty, and right away Mrs. Nurmi gets it because well, well, it was an inside joke because ARGH, I can't say. But I've loved Mrs. N ever since. Reading about the 26 hour car trips. Makes me ALMOST wish I lived far away enough to make one. Hanging out in front of the letters with I-57 and TDG. Thanks! Meeting at the L and having everyone know what that means. The LP hotline: One time the Nurmi's were in town and we were dining at DCA, long story short, the kids (no cell phone for them) were on the outside of a closed park, we're on the inside, three cell phone calls later and the kids are on the phone with mom using two other LP'ers cells. I'll post more as they come to me.

Also, I love the fact that I just cannot figure out which one is hotter, bloona or Smedley. On the one hand, one looks like Bo Derek and the other like Jessica Simpson. I could list the great times on LP all night long but I will stop there and give someone else a chance. Like Chickie D said, I can be a chatty cathy.

Kevin Duck [knowing that I luv Disneyland ephemera] obtained a 1995 paper Disneyland 40th birthday hat for me. It was a cool surprise that I'll always remember. Later that day, inside DCA we were talking to Doobie, Rebekah, Dave, and Indigo, and some people came by, Doobie introduced me to them, they were very nice and quite knowledgeable about Disney. Doobie leaned over and whispered to me that they were the real voices of Mickey and Minnie, how cool is that? I met Mickey and Minnie on my B-day. Another magical one for me on LP was the LP Winter Bash 2003. I signed up to participate in that on a whim, I had previously felt that was a mommy thing, but saw that a few guys around here were participating so I joined. I figured it would be fun and a way to spread some holiday cheer. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I'd become such close friends with my secret pal. I am still close to that pal, in fact that pal has become one of my best friends. We still communicate frequently. Our families get together on holidays, birthdays, and other celebrations, when I am in their part of the state on business we get together, when they come down here we go to the parks together. We often bounce ideas and situations off each other for advice. I never would have thought that I'd meet such a close friend over the Internet, but an LP message board event changed that. I'm kinda sketchy on the details of this one, so anyone else who was in on it please feel free to make corrections. A San Diego CA local talk radio show was having Laughing Place as guests on their show, the host was also a Disney fan and was quite good on Disneyland trivia. Doobie invited LP readers in So CA to tune in, so I was able to get a weak signal and was watching the boards as well while "Doobekah" was introduced and the moniker explained on air. Somehow a few of us LPers got on AIM in a chat room and were talking among ourselves listening to the show, Doobie popped on and asked to be invited into the chat, so we were listen on air, chating online, and posting on the boards during this live show. I dont remember exactly how it worked, but there was a segment for listeners to call in, they either asked the host a trivia question, or tried to answer one of his questions. I remember I called in, but dont remember exactly what I said, LOL we were chatting through the whole thing. I know Miss Candice and Dark Beer were online, but dont remember if they called in? Our LP Prayer Thread - seeing others send positive thoughts and prayers that help and comfort others and their families in our LP community. The generosity of this community is awesome. Kar2oonman's Faith thread - it can be done. Debate without hate! My biggest magic moment was the VP thread where SuzieQ and Wendebird invited me to join them in DL in April '04. Wow! Who would have thought it would grow into all that it has. LP related - Shopping for Ursula to do a good deed!! Sightseeing with TiggerPooh1973 and family while she was in the Bay Area. The Portland Cheesecake Factory meet. Vacationing in Canada with goodgirl at quincytoo's house and meeting Captain Jack Sparrow, FancyDL and PiratePete - just a BLAST of a time. The Golden Dreams vacation - never thought it would be a reality but we pulled it off. **Ursula** you gotta come up to the Bay Area sometime. We can do the road trip to DL on your way home. LOL!
