magical fireworks from different areas of the park

We saw the show from the area where Riverside Seating will be offered for Fantasmic. It was one of the preview nights. The sound was perfect, the blossoms and shooting stars were in perfect view. You could see part of Tink and Dumbo's flight. I haven't seen the show from front and center Main Street so I don't know what I missed.

We also watched a preview night from Carnation Plaza, the castle lighting is beautiful. Tink and Dumbo didn't fly that night so I don't know what the view would have been.

I took my children to Disneyland on opening night (friday-June 12) to see the "new" Fantasmic and fireworks show with Dumbo.Apparently both failed to amaze crowds as we were told by cast members that they had technical difficulties with both. The new dragon did not appear, and neither did Dumbo. We watched the firworks show from Main street in front of the castle and there was nothing amazing that you would miss if you watched it from anywhere else in the park.

I watched the fireworks at the media event on June 11. The best place to view them is on mainstreet so you get the full effect, at least I assume that is the best we were closer to the castle and did not get all of the effects of the show. However I really liked it and it was cool to see Dumbo fly.
