Many pin traders complained about the batteries wasting way to quickly. If they still sell them, it must be left over inventory, but there is nothing being advertized in regards to seeing these pins light up during your visit at WDW.. We need more input from real Pin Traders as I have drifted away from this activity a lot since it was started. Too expensive.
Originally Posted By typhoonCM They do still light up. They're connected to the PAL network (the same one that pal mickey's work off of) so as long as pal mickey works, the pins will work. However they are not sold in the parks anymore. BUT Cast Connection as well as Character Premere (sp?) both carried them pre-christmas. As to whether there are any left, I couldnt tell you... And the earliest I would be able to check would be sunday.... darn overtime....... oh well. Makes for nice paychecks.

Interestingly, I put the extra batteries from 4 years ago in one of the pins and the batteries actually worked. I was shocked. Any ideas what rides they will work on? What is the "PAL" network? Any additional thoughts on these pins would be greatly appreciated.
