Hmmmm, still, it is something I suppose. I just had higher expectations.

DM had better be an actual ride and not just a "sit in the theatre and have water spritzed in your face" deal or this is kinda a bust!

Plus a few "surprise announcement" just to keep the stream of announcements coming so people get the feeling that Universal "just keeps getting better and better."

That is 2 of the greenlit projects. Idk when they are gonna drop the waterpark card, but I put my money on the Potter announcement coming the day before Little Mermaid's Media Day...err...I mean Grand Opening.

Besides, it's not just a digital HD upgrade to SPidey. It's a whole new animated film as well. That's pretty awesome.

And Despicable Me is a great film. Glad it will be represented.

(A fantastic addition, I hasten to add.)

BUT... UniFlorida's MAJOR announcement about the replacement of a tired theater show (Jimmy Neutron) with a new (amazing, incredible, nothin' like it) theater show (Despicable Me) and upgrading of the film and delivery system of an existing attraction (Spider Man) is somehow a masterpiece of strategy.

    Noted.

In fairness to Universal, the perception there is that they have done a great job of late of keeping the parks updated and Harry Potter was a great capping off of several years of new/replaced attractions. Whether that is real or not really isnt important but the perception (myself included) is that Universal is the place that seems to be wanting to upgrade and doing great work.

But I know Potter's additions are coming, including a MAJOR attraction ... I know UNI is building a water park ... I know Transformers is coming to UNI.

My guess, and that's all it is, would be UNI would rather announce one (or two) things at a time while knowing the upcoming pipeline is primed for years to come.

What does Disney have beyond this three-year Fantasyland project that has actually been approved (no, DVCs and hotels don't count)?
