Again, I didn't hate it, and I can see why it is popular with so many, but it just didn't live up to the hype in my opinion.<<< This was my feeling with Indiana Jones. I didn't get to ride it until I had heard 8 years of hype (they even advertised it in the UK in 1995, which is rare indeed). When I rode it, I was sorely (and boy was I sore) disappointed. It was rough and painful, with broken effects, and I thought it was not that well detailed except the bridge room. Hype can kill the fun I am afraid.

Disney isn't alone w/broken attractions.

In 2 hours we rode just about every attraction with the exception of Twister, Terminator and Disaster. The park was clean and Jaws looked the best I have seen it in years with all the effects working. Very nice. Our longest wait was 10 mins for Rockin coaster. We headed over to IOA and the place was wall to wall people. I am talking Christmas busy. The Hulk was down for a while and Dr Doom had a 75 mins wait. Spiderman, Harry Potter, the former Dueling Dragons all had 90 min waits and even Posidens Fury had a 45 min wait. We have been AP holders for years and we cant remember when we have seen the park so busy. On the plus side for IOA...they had just about every food location (with the exception of Green Eggs and Ham) open. We walked into food locations we havent been in years. Very nice. But the place was busy busy. Even the gift shops had crowds. When we left the park my son noted the number of buses in the bus parking lot and we did see a lot of school groups there. We had a fun day but have decided not to head back til school is out in 2 weeks and hit the parks in the evening when the crowds thin out.

Although, I am going to miss Neutron, it gets bashed way too much. It honestly wasn't that bad at all.

Since we are on this thread I want to go the record to say that I am a huge fan of the Universal/Parks. They are really wonderful places. Harry Potter is amazing.

The negativity has reached new heights not seen on LP before- it is blinding even sometimes rational people..I choose not to participate until some level of common sense returns. Nothing wrong with being a huge fan of Universal..lots to like there

Walt Disney World still makes me smile and feel young again on every visit. But so does Universal, Busch Gardens, Sea World, etc. That's why I love theme parks, especially Disney. And I know that you do, too. And you're right, it's easy to get caught up in all of the negative hype. Sure, things can possibly be better, but there's still a lot of good at WDW. If there wasn't, I would have stopped visitng years ago. Here's hoping for a "great big beautiful tomorrow" for us all at the Vacation Kingdom of the World!
