The first was Princess Fantasy Faire, with basically everything except the Meet and Greet and the merchandise/food being cancelled (The Money Makers remain open). Based on Disneyland.com DCA is getting some major cuts... Aladdin is going on Hiatus as of Monday, January 5th. HSM:3 will go to a Friday through Sunday only schedule (might be offered on some Monday Holidays). Pixar Play Parade will remain at 5 days a week (Wednesday through Sunday) Drawn to the Magic is on Hiatus Brother Bear will remain (Friday through Tuesday). Playhouse Disney will remain at 7 days a week. As for Disneyland.. NO Parade as of January 5th for the foreseeable future (my educated guess, mid March for Spring Break - "Celebrate Today" No Fantasmic! as of January 5th Remember Fireworks not offered until MLK, Jr. weekend (a couple of weeks off, then just weekends). WOW!!!

The big surprise, for me anyway, is the lack of any scheduled parade in DL for the forseeable future. And as we talked about on another thread, POD is gone forever. I won't miss that either. But its odd that they wouldn't try and replace it with something/anything. They've been running parades down main street pretty much every day for over fifty years. You'd think they'd have some spare parts they could cobble together fairly quickly if they wanted to. Doesn't seem like it's important to them at all. Hmm.

It's sad to think the area will become just a meet and greet station.. And Disneyland without a parade, fireworks and Fantasmic! just seems lifeless.. Let's hope it's only temporary.

Downtown Disney stores would have the option of closing during that time or staying open. It would seem the show aspect of the parks wouldn't have to suffer if they did something along those lines.

Fireworks are cancelled weekends, except for MLK Jr. & President's Day. And Parade of Dreams is history, pending the response to the Celebration street party debuting 3/26. More info on the cuts in the next update." So it seems like Fantasmic! will be doing double duty to make up for the lack of a parade or fireworks. I guess the people who like a quiet New Orleans Square and night rides on the Mark Twain will have to wait until March.

Also, Aladdin will be offered at least through February, and probably much longer (5 days a week), this is per an official Disneyland spokesperson.
