I don't normally play the "Will someone please think of the children!" card, but if you have someone flashing a badge and falsely claiming to be a police officer and whose reasons for being there are unknown (other than that if you believe he was doing so just to get in you know he's not just a fake cop but also a thief), you must consider the influence someone like that could have on a child. Who knows why he was there.
