Over time, they have been replacing the wooden supports with metal ones and replacing pieces of track to try to keep it fairly smooth. It is also just general upkeep that needs to be done on an attraction that is so old and has so many different things that could have small issues that lead to huge ones.

There may be some wood involved, but I rather doubt any wood was used for structural support.
