Amazing how much has changed in 21 years. Today, we are happy with "Breaking News" confirming updates to attractions we were promised at their inceptions (Midway Mania) and RFID experiments that have the potential to ruin theme and story (Mansion.) Also, there is no way Disney would undertake risky ventures like Pleasure Island or maybe even the Studios in today's corporate culture.

Hopefully someday with the right mix of new attractions, the renamed Disney Hollywood Studios will finally measure up to some of the other parks in the Disney empire.

That makes you, and Doobie out there as people who think that about the Studios. :)

I miss the AC because it offered something adult, and unique. Things Disney should really concentrate on, instead of removing.

That really is shocking. I was there on opening day. One of the first in. First time I ever met Michael Eisner (and only time as a 'fan'). Also, met the great Bob Hope.

I just remember having so much hair and being able to fit in size 30 jeans with room to breathe ... oops, did I say that?

What I meant to say was I just remember feeling that Disney was in a truly special era where imagination ruled and anything was possible. That Walt's talk of having enough land for all the things Disney could imagine really rang true. Disney wasn't the same virginal place. But it wasn't overbuilt either.

    There were just possibilities.

And the Studios were a wonderful little park with a VERY cohesive story and follow.

But back then it was WDW's No. 3 theme park in my mind. And now ... now, I still place it there ... and only because MK has fallen behind it.

Just not overly impressed with the whole Studios as a theme park concept.

DAK would easily outpace it in visitors if more was added, especially something in night entertainment.

It means you have been changed into a CRAZED AC lover. You must now join Em, and many others in wearing a black arm band, cursing the Disney executives that closed AC, and devoting the rest of your life to bringing back The Adventurers Club!
