    Some high(low)lights-

-When confronted with an ad that falsely claims someone named Raines with economic scandal ties is Obama's financial advisor, McCain did not deny the claim was tenuous at best and reiterated his joke of a defense that if Obama would agree to Town Hall meetings he wouldn't have to run ads like that.

    - Did not admit but neither did he deny he put the House Republicans up to their stall tactics on the bailout bill. "I did what needed to be done."

    - When confronted with the fact he had criticized Obama for going public with the notion we would go into Pakistan without permission if it were deemed necessary, McCain was asked why Palin had said the very same thing yesterday. McCain hemmed and hawed and said Palin was on board with McCain's viewpoint, but that much shouldn't be made off an off the cuff remark to "some young man in response to a question" as being indicative of her true feelings. Minutes later, McCain praised Palin's ability to do exactly that- give off the cuff remarks as it relates to policy.

If I'm around when a transcript becomes available, I'll post it.

This is the same guy who rushed back to Washington so he could be "hands on" in working through a bailout solution. Yet, on the day that the bill is apparently being forwarded, he has no idea what the details are? How can you claim you are "hands on" but not be informed of the details?

Essentially, every other question relating to the bailout tried to figure out exactly what McCain's participation in the Congressional compromise was -- and he consistently provided no answer to indicate that he really played any significant role at all.

That wouldn't be as big of a problem if she actually knew what she was talking about. This woman is quite literally less informed on foreign affairs than someone who reads the A section of the New York Times everyday. Seriously. The fact that she's so uninformed and then ends up agreeing with Obama makes it look like Obama's got the better plan.

Palin just sounds utterly clueless most of the time. The people on these boards alone can run circle around this woman in terms of national and foreign policy. I still dont get it, I know she's 'only' the VP, but c'mon, she will still be involved and have responsibilities and a represenative on the world stage. Honestly, I hope this woman catches up to speed quickly.

It still amazes me less than a month ago, about 98% of Americans had no clue who this woman even was.

    Huh?

I don't think you worded that quite like you meant to.

I think what he meant is she's not even clear on McCains OWN foreign policies when she was speaking and simply gave her own opinion--which was closer to Obama's idea, even though she probably wouldnt have said that if she actually knew what McCains was, but being the nice little puppet she is there for.

But I still like it how you try to turn it around and make it about Obama lol.

Yup. That was pretty clumsily worded and not at all what I mean to convey :)

Still, I'd rather be like Joe Biden with foot in mouth than Sarah Palin, any day of the week.
