Any thought to merging threads that are about the same subject? It doesn't happen too often, but it happens enough that I personally find it annoying, especially when there's a new movie or a new attraction or a significant change to an attraction, at least at DL - I don't read the WDW or other Disney park sections, so I don't know if it happens there as well.

I might be interested in participating in discussing POTC 2. But there are about 8 or 9 threads about the movie. I don't want to have 8 or 9 conversations about the exact same thing on the same board, and I haven't been able to pick one thread in which to have the discussion, which is what I usually do, so I haven't participated at all. (Yeah, yeah, I know, no loss there.) What I really don't understand is why people don't just contribute to an existing thread instead of feeling that their opinion is important enough to start a brand new thread. Maybe it's that whole "I can't be bothered to read what everyone else has said, but they should be able to easily read what I have to say" mentality that I think is fairly rude, but then again, maybe it's just me.

Anyway, I know it's probably more work for the mods, and it would be helpful if people took the time to see if there's an existing thread, especially about a popular topic, before starting a new thread, but I thought I'd at least throw the request out there.

Thanks.

Not trying to make a programming nightmare for Doobie - just trying to make the boards easier to navigate. Thanks.

Oh, I certainly agree that sometimes, different aspects can be discussed if they're totally separate, and of course, spoiler and non-spoiler differentiations should be made, but for box office, I'm not entirely sure that's necessarily something that has to be in its own category since discussion of the movie itself sometimes factors into the performance of the film. I think that happened with "Cars", where what started out as a box office thread turned into a combination box office/review/comments thread, in addition to the one or two that already existed.

Since we are on the subject of suggestions, what I would like to see is under each section (Combined, DL General etc.) Laughingplace have an index of topics. Since the Google search is limited, if someone knew the topic they could goto the section click one the index and get a list of the topics for section.

As an example I did a search for AlexDisney. Google search only gives one listing but I know that there is a topic under DL General with his name in the topic. I could goto DL General click on topic index then do a local search for AlexDisney. That could give me a link to the topic: AlexDisney's Buck revealed! http://mb.laughingplace.com/de
fault.asp?WCI=MsgBoard&WCE=T-55601-P-1&Refresh=0711070509.

I know Doobie has other things to do but in his spare time…
