I could understand if they operate at a minimum base for hourly CMs but TDL is awash with them and it shouldn't be a knee-jerk reaction. But then they still can't handle Countdown Parties so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

On a recent trip to WDW I witness a number of very serious crowd control issues like dispatching crowds from Fatasmic on to Hollywood Blv while the crowds for the next showing were just arriving. Holding a castle show minutes before the parade was due creating in no exits for the people leaving the show during a Mickey's Christmas Party event. Despite all the entertainment the Tokyo Resort puts on daily not once did I end up in a crowd control mess like the fiasco you get in Florida.

The dash on April 15 was crazy and poorly controlled despite more managers on-stage than you will ever see. They also still can't handle the Countdown Parties correctly - it is a very unpleasant experience for something that should be an enjoyable celebration.

I'm curious, because the crowd control I've seen from behind the scenes hasn't been all that bad (but that's just what I've seen, which isn't much). In other words, give us the dish, Lee!

Just a guess (I think *most* Disney employees (Tokyo or otherwise) don't appreciate the fanatical nature of the Disney fans such as ourselves that take the whole history of an attraction such as MMR into account, maybe).

I don't hold Parks Ops responsible - the CPs should be cancelled, period - it is entirely the guests' fault and I don't see any solution. It is an incredibly unsafe and unpleasant experience. However they are a huge money spinner. Irrespective I'll never attend another unless I'm forced to with work. I don't like spending NYE (and my birthday from midnight!) that way.

It's MUCH easier to just glide in on a parade float, play drums for a couple of minutes and wave to the people down in the street, and the watch the fireworks from the best view in the house! You should try that sometime, Lee.
