Like buying a big bag of souvenirs early in the day, it just kind of gets annoying after a while!

And we regretted it- it was hot, we sweated like pigs and our boots were getting painful by 10 pm. At least half the crowd had no costume at all, so any effort at all was a plus. We both wore our ThinkGeek Star Trek uniform T-shirts next day just to get a picture in them, and we agreed that in hindsight, the simple t-shirts would have been a more practical and entirely adequate costume.

I was thinking going early this year and possibly packing my costume and changing later. Funny how back home we pray for no rain and weather warm enough to not have to wear a huge winter coat over your costume. In DL it's like wearing a hot costume in the middle of summer.

We are doing it on the Friday before Halloween, so hopefully there are few people in costume.
