Do you have to leave DCA if you have tickets when the park closes or can you stay like in WDW? What time should we plan on getting in line if we do indeed have to exit if our ticket time is 6:30?

I consider myself to have some worthy Disneyland knowledge, and when friends etc ask my advice, I am too ready to steer them right. BUT when I have a vaca coming (in 17 days mind you) I get all flustered and forget everything I knew!!!!!

You do have to leave and then they let you back in. We found either getting there 30 min early or 30 min late was the easiest. When we went 30 min after we pretty much walked in. I would also suggest eating before you go - last year the food lines were crazy.

It's fun to stand in line at 6 and see all the costumes but I agree with gottaluv that going in closer to 7 is a walk in. Last year we headed into "Hollywood" and almost came to a standstill there were so many people in there. We spun around and headed to the pier and it was MUCH less crowded.

We aren't going until the 22nd so I won't be much help for what is new :)

Perhaps I can just cut out the eye holes and apply makeup.

There are lots of different ways to "work" the party. Go with the flow is perfect.

Here is another tip. Last year there were 2 sides to each treat station. People tend to see a line and get in it. A CM would be waving people over to the other side and would often be ignored. Also, each station has a "healthy" treat. If they aren't crazy busy they'll ask which you prefer. If they are busy just mention that you would prefer the apples or raisins or carrots or whatnot if that's what you want. It's pretty easy to see what they are giving out.

Funny story. Toward the end of the evening last year we walked up to a treat station with no line. The CM dropped candy in our bags and then asked if we liked something that we couldn't quite hear. It looked like little boxes of nerds!!! so daughter in law and I said "sure, thank you!" and he gave us each a big handful.
YAY, score! Later that night we dumped out our bags and found that they were RAISINS!! Gosh we laughed about that. We felt very Charlie Brownish :)

    It's such a fun night, I can't wait!

If you like the villains, they were mostly hanging out by Golden Dreams under the dome. No popping out and scaring the little ones or anything like that. Hades was amazing.
