I heard that they designed it with holiday overlays for the games that can be installed (turned on) overnight. They're supposedly holding off this year because it's still the hot new thing, but they should be able to do Halloween and Christmas-themed games for the appropriate seasons in the park.

If they had added AA's or other interactive bits inside the building, then being moved around would have made sense.

    Otherwise, fun game.

With interacting, it's one of the most fun.

I would have loved more interaction inside the building apart from the HD screens, otherwise there is little reason for it to be a ride.

I've got a Wii and I hate 3D effects. I don't think I need to ride Toy Story Mania.

So can the Midway Mania trams.

There's no reason that the transitions couldn't have show scenes in those sections.

Just as Grizzly River could have AA wildlife and show scenes.

(they didn't want to spend all that extra $$)

Age really isn't an excuse in this case. It was clearly a design decision as subsequent Small World attractions have similar breaks between show scenes. While I don't think that GRR needs show scenes I do think adding them would be give the ride the "Disney" touch. Given the design, pace, and 3D storytelling elements of TSMM, I don't really see a connection between it and GRR as far as missing show scenes go.

How the Yeti in Expedition: Everest is justified I'm not sure. One of the largest and most expensive AA figures -- in one of the fastest moving sections of the ride. Couldn't they have gone the Matterhorn route and just had sound and red eyes?

Oh, okay, well I guess I hadn't heard that. From my own experience I don't really see how that would work. For me the brief visual pauses were an opportunity to break from the fast pace of each game round.
