I don't have high expectations for experience this attraction will offer, but the level of detail on this project is impressive.

Me neither, but the geek in me that loves exquisitely detailed theming is all over this one. The fans have kvetched and moaned here for at least a decade about how Disney had gone "cheap", so witnessing this return to excellence should be celebrated - especially on a ride based on Walt Disney's first feature film. Hopefully this kind of lavish attention to detail will continue on to future projects at WDW.

Plus, with 20-seat trains, hopefully it will have decent capacity. Assuming they can have at least 2 trains out at the same time (one loading/unloading, one running), it will hopefully be able to keep the lines down, though I suspect it will be more popular and lower capacity than the mermaid next door

I predict some broken hearts on the loading dock, and some pounding fists on the counter at Guest Relations a few minutes later.

What were they thinking? Or is this a subliminal way for Disney to make fun of a growing (no pun intended) portion of their demographic, kind of like the social commentary in WallE?

Otherwise, a fun little kiddy coaster with two cute show scenes. Sort of a Barnstormer Plus type of thing. Let's hope they don't market it like it's the next Space Mountain.

I don't have any problem, I'm an average European in size and weight, but I've always wondered what measurement is used by coaster manufacturers for the seats. Is there a standardized human used? Can the buyers, like WDI, change that measurement. I guess in the US, like in Europe, coasters have to undergo certain tests to be allowed for operation?

Especially if you anticipate that a larger adult would likely be in a row alone or with a small child, rather than two large adults together, and I don't think it will be terrible. At this point, it certainly looks better than the teeny-tiny Barnstormer cars

I don't mean to be mean spirited as I have had struggles with my weight in years gone by, but they were my struggles...not somebody else's.

Again, my expectations are low, but considering how bad the Space Mountain experience is at WDW compared to all the others this ride could end up being better than that attraction.

WDW's Space Mountain is very disappointing. They should rip out the track and a new ride in. It should be more like Paris' SM.

They don't have to now, but, they know of no other way to separate fat people from their money. They probably also bring along a few socially acceptable people with them. More money gone. So the answer is forever, or until the super race is all that is left.

Yep. Or at least like DL's. It's not like the dome at WDW isn't big enough to do something spectacular.

I was thinking the same thing. I hate WDW's Space Mountain. I fully expect the Mine Train to be much better.

Have you seen how the just-opened WDW version of Fantasy Faire meet n' greet turned out? Yikes.
