It's just not that good of a ride. Blasting off and the sling shot around the sun was fun, the rest of the ride was just meh. But the thing that completely ruined it for me was the poor "arcade quality" video. It needed to be 100% realistic and on a larger screen that fit the front of the cabin, not just an obvious monitor.

Why does everyone blast clones yet come up with nothing but one for the Innoventions space...

Long story short, do not ride M:S Orange unless you are certain you are in perfect health. For everyone else, Disney shut down the primary ride system functions/movements (aka: the centerfuge) and created M:S Green - which is akin to watching the same video in a ride pod that tilts and jiggles a little.

I think the primary reason Disney wouldn't clone it is because, as TMICHAEL wrote, it's just not that good a ride. M:S is not nearly popular enough with guests to warrant bringing it to DLR.

That said, because of the same it has had a tough time finding an audience. Disney invested mega bucks into it and it will, in all probability, never recoup what was spent. (I'm sure they have some kind of formula to determine that)

Therefore, etc., etc., the likelihood of it showing up in Disneyland is slim to non-existent.

Thank you TMichael ... this is actually what I've heard as one major pet-peive of a ride meant to "WOW" the audiences. But in cabins that make Star Tours look like a large opera house.

I've never been on .. and perhaps I'll end up riding the "green" side. But if the main "joy" of the ride is looking through a small monitor .. with the capsule pitching a little bit here and there ......... Star Tours (especially 2.0) will more than likely be more appealing.

I think what us fans should be focusing on .. for the site of Innoventions is something for THE WHOLE FAMILY.

    Hardly.

But these were the result of pre-existing conditions and it was legally determined as such. AS WAS the death resulting from riding TOT. Yet this POPULAR attraction has been recreated in all Disney resorts except Hong Kong, with all THRILL elements intact.
....and Yes, the other fatalities on the rides were either rider misconduct or operator error.

Mission: Space just isn't what it should have been, And if it was, you can bet that clones would have been planned for other parks, fatalities or not.

And for all those curious .....

this is what the Space Pavilion "main attraction" was suppose to be, had it been carried through from the late 70s EPCOT concepts:

NOW ... if this is what EPCOT would have got, then I'd be saying ... BRING ON A CLONE TO DISNEYLAND !!! :D
