How poorly it is maintained, how loudly the Omnimover squeaks, and how dirty the scrims are?!? I don't think that ride has had a rehab since they added Jimmy Carter!

You should spend more time on this board Westsider. I greatly enjoy reading your posts on the DL Board, even though I don't really post there.

But I have very little working knowledge of WDW, unlike Disneyland. I can spot an attraction that needs a rehab, or an animatronic that needs to be pulled backstage though, and that's what we noticed on our last visit. Especially the big E Tickets at Magic Kingdom; they were just in really bad shape overall, and I was embarassed for them.

Besides, even when they reopened last year... the ride was still looking 1971. I will accept nothing less than Paris' standards.

G in "g-forces" stand for Gross. And there you have it.

HA! How sad to be so senile.

I know that backups are a big problem on this attraction in particular (I have no idea why though), as it backs up to the train tracks in DL all the time. The only difference is that there is no song and cheery kids looking at you while you sit in boredom. I remember being in that last room for what seemed like an eternity (it was probably at least 10 minutes) before we were allowed out. I really hope that was fixed, because it was a very good reason to stay clear of the attraction in general.

I'm sure Disney Press and Publicity didn't suggest it ;-) But the guy wants to get his retirement and still get free passes, so he'll say anything. >>But it did look so much improved over say 2-3 years ago.<< <<I am not talking about the Mary Blair bording platform. >> Neither was I, although that did improve the attraction. The water, which used to have god knows what floating in it, was drained and cleaned. All the sets and backgrounds were repainted etc ... am I missing something? Worse, do I have to take a short cruise with you to see what I'm missing? ;-)

I know that backups are a big problem on this attraction in particular (I have no idea why though) Simple. Slow moving guests. There was a time guests didn't need to transfer from a wheelchair to the boats and vice versa. Neither did guests have overweight problems that prevented them from moving their backs a bit faster. Then leave it to Suzy and James goody tooshoes CMs who won't operate the ride with a sense of urgency and efficiency. But if you think IASW is bad.. have you been on the MK's Snow White attraction lately?? A horrible butchered redesigned boarding area only uses 25% of the space available outside the ride to stack up ride vehicles, so.. where do you think they get stacked up now??? The answer: Sometimes as far back inside the ride for you to be able to see the Witch be killed twice!! Now *THAT* is a bad show!
