Monorails shut down 10/24/05

^ I can confirm that the Monorails are going down in Early January for about 18 months, mainly for the Tomorrowland redo in regards to the Monster's Inc. queue. But they also hope to be able to bring out the new Monorail being built for testing, and then have at least one more (for a total of 2) new monorails when it reopens in Summer of 2007.

That brings up the line ups that will be impacted at the Main entrance. They will be longer....and longer waits to get in I`m sure.....even if they open all of them. Has any one been there when ALL the entry gates are open?

What tram service are you referring to? The parking lot tram does not service the hotels.

Who knows what Disney will do in January, nothing has been announced yet...

And I have been there when they had EVERY turnstile open, May 5th. And I mean EVERY turnstile, there was no exit, just entry....

Where would you place this stop along the current tram route (a private road)?

There is no "logical" place for a stop, as the route doesn't get near any of the hotels....

The trams are not allowed on city streets, so you can't change the route.

Going bi-directional is what trashed up the monorails in the first place. They were never designed to run that way. Everyone is going to have to get use to walking. They are down for 18 months to rebuild the Tomorrowland station not just do queue work. So even if they went back and forth there would be no place to go to.
