Despite next year being the 10th celebrations, I don't really have an urge to visit the resort except for Fantasmic.

I think if the opportunity arises, I can see a unique attraction being built for TDR in the future.

That would be the first time I've ever heard of this.

And land is not the concern for me, as I know they have several unused areas. I'm simply concerned if the future will simply be cloning successful attractions from other resorts to save cost and guarantee popularity.

For example, if the Little Mermaid attraction proves to be a huge success, I wouldn't be surprised if some form of it came to Mermaid Lagoon (maybe replacing the theatre if space is a concern).

I agree, less shows more rides.

After PhilharMagic, I'm guessing it won't be long before Haunted Mansion and Star Tours and perhaps a few other old attractions get their much needed revamps. Not saying that these are bad decisions, but they are not exactly compelling reasons to visit Tokyo again since all of those exist stateside already.

But other times like when WDI promised this new and exciting interactive dark ride experience for Monsters Inc. But in the end failed to deliver on the hype and left you with something so flawed that it had to be closed within a year of operation. So that more money could be spent on bringing it up to scratch. I can see why its safer and more cost effective to order clones.

The other side of the coin is that not all the Guests who visit the Tokyo Disney Resort will have the opportunity to visit another Disney Resort. So bringing some of the more popular Stateside attractions to Tokyo should be required for the Guests benefit.

As a person who enjoys the special events like Halloween. The Resort will always have something to offer that will bring me back. But I have to admit the 10th Anniversary as it stands does not impress me. Fantasmic looks amazing but I can see that anytime. So why brave the Anniversary crowds for this show alone. Now Disneyland for 2011 seems to be a far more appealing trip. Despite all the continued work going on for Disney California Adventure. I know the Resort will be offering some stuff that this Disney Park fan simply can't aford to miss out on. Star Tours II, The Little Mermaid and Mickey's Soundsational Parade all look fantastic. Plus I have yet to see World of Colour.

Agreed. I am a DL local though, so I don't have to choose between one or the other. That being said, I may choose a non-Disney destination instead seeing as neither DLP or WDW have put out anything worth seeing in the last few years. I've also been to HKDL (not a good visit in my case) and do not want to be back until Mystic Manor is completed. As for TDR, it seems like a better idea to simply wait until the Toy Story Mania expansion is done- it's not like Fantasmic is going away anytime soon.
