Lauren, among others, has no clue just how much money is required (heard costuming for just one new show is expected to be half a million) ... anyway, the terms 'rape and plummage' [from WDW] were used to describe what DCL will do to make sure the Dream has top-line entertainment when it opens ... I guess that means less crayons when Fantasy Forest debuts. Coronado Springs looks great. Think what passes as the Beach Boys were performing in aconcert for pulmonary specialists tonight. But rooms and Rix addition really give it high end look. Alas, no resort specific merchandise there anymore either. Fantasmic is in PATHETIC show condition, but the rubes in the audience don't notice. Iger says no more discounts this fall. Yep. Free dining just came out and in my room there's an offer for 40% off FW cabins, 35% off mods and 20% off values pretty much all none holidays thru Christmas Eve. I'm sure that 81% quarterly occupancy was why we get the 'new' animation All-Star resort! (will touch on that down the line). TSMM queue was embarrassing ... as always. Some merchandise is really very kewl ... and D-Street is a great addition to DD. There's stuff there I like and may actually buy ... and not vinyl either. The gallery tucked on the side of AMC is a treasure trove of artsy items too. 10-5 water park hours?!?! In May?!??! 9-5 DAK hours?!??! In May??!?! $3.99 for a tiny side salad at a value food court? Would they like my balls with my cash? Marvel merchandise is all over, especially at TPFKaTD-MGMS and DD. Spidey and Iron Man 2 lots. And unlike the crappy Hanes WDW tees, the Marvel ones are designer from companies like Junk Food (same have been sold at Macy's for some time). AC has been turned down everywhere thus far (VERY NICE) except it was way too warm in tonight's AIE 7 p.m. finale show. You can now buy food at Property Control. Bags of rice, pasta, lettuce, carrots, apple juice boxes etc. Much more to come ... I think I have 14 nights at sea to talk about too!

There's no form of accounting arobatics that can shave a clean $1mil off Fantayland Expansion an allocate it to Cruise Line entertainment. But it's far more believable with their limitted staffing and resources that costuming feels screwed trying to get everything constructed for the the new ships - keeping up with the ships and the parks before was a battle. Until we hear something has been cut from Fantasyland I'm assuming it's more about costuming and their issues then it is about budget reallocation.

Food is also slowly improving, now if we could only get some improvement with the actual SHOW!

Eating a big breakfast off-property at my hotel combined with a couple of protein bars stashed in my waist pack and I'm good for most of the day. The "food items" I will buy from Disney, however, are the overpriced water bottles, for quality and convenience. But I'm still saving plenty overall by not dining in the parks. And the added weight loss from only eating the protein bars while visiting the parks is a nice bonus. << Would they like my balls with my cash?>> Geez Spirit... you of all people should know.

They've never had a cohesive plan for this expansion. It's the fly by the seat of our pants, lets see what we do today format. My Dad thought it was very strange, but considering the prices they stocked up. We know Disney donates a lot to charity, but the only thing we could think of is that their contracts for food orders are so large that even with donating to charity they have too much extra.

Hence my suspicion - and considering that costuming is the only real link between them that this is a telephone game misunderstanding of what's going on and it likely has a lot more to do with costuming's resources then funding.
