    Now it appears the Pirate movie will have a late August opening, instead of the beginning of July. OUCH! That might hurt returns. But, we don't want a movie badly edited, either.

    Stuff like that makes for good memories, although at the time there's a lot of grumbling. As for rushing the editing, the film is already too rushed. It should be scheduled for Christmas.

    They need to do it right and if it means putting it off until summer 2004, I'd say go with that.


    Was the Haunted Mansion Movie placed under a really short production time period, also? Both these movies deserve a little time in production. Especially when Disney's own officials compare them to Indiana Jones and The Mummy.

    Notice that the URL is for the UK edition of Yahoo. The August release date is for the United Kingdom, which frequently gets movies a few weeks (or longer) after the US. As far as I know, the July release date still stands for the US.
