Our two dogs have learned to open it when it is left slightly opened.

Well, during my son's football practice I received a call that the cake was gone. Someone, (I wonder who?), had forgotten to check the door. My 6 year old was also with me and broke the news to his brother. Boy, it really was a cute cake and was custom made. I think the dogs even ate the figures on top of it! I was making everyone wait until evening to have any of it. Big mistake!!

At least it made it through the party.

Poor guy - how did he take the news?

The 'boys' chewed through one heavy shipping box, two lighter cardboard boxes and plastic packaging to get to 'em. Left two of the lemon-flavored in their slots (guess they aren't crazy about lemon).

I hope your puppy is okay!

The cake was white w/white buttercream frosting, absolutely no chocolate. The dogs are fine. They are just a little sheepish and are moving a little slower.

We had gone to a Mariner's game and stopped by Krispy Kreme's on Sunday. I commented last night to my husband that the donuts were a hit because they were all gone. He looked at me amazed that I hadn't caught on and said that the dogs got those as well. Not to mention the tortilla chips, fruit and every other scrap of food left out in the kitchen. On the bright side, my hardwood floors look awesome!

Would any of us trade them for the world though? Nope. We'd miss out on too much 'innocent' love and fun. :)

We went out and bought another cake. We are going to Disneyland in Septemeber and I told him I would buy him something special to make up for it. He said he was already getting another cake and that I didn't need to get him anything else because it wasn't something important like trading cards, it was only a cake! I guess he put it in perspective.
