***GUANGZHOU - Many restaurants that feature rat meat dishes are enjoying brisk business in Zhongcun town of Panyu district in this Guangdong provincial capital, though medical experts warn of hidden safety risks.
The rat dishes are so popular that diners sometimes have to book in advance for a meal in some restaurants during peak hours***

***A visit to the Guolizhuang Restaurant in Beijing is not for the faint-hearted. Here the menu consists almost entirely of penis and testicle dishes — made from the private parts of deer, snakes, yaks, horses, seals and ducks, among others***

AND, here's a video highlighting (graphically) many, many more items those daring Chinese folks enjoy chowing down on.

    Must see TV!

Growing up, we used a particular set of bowls as the dog's food bowls. At my Grandma's house, those bowls were used for cereal bowls. I could not, would not eat out them because in my mind they were "dog food bowls."

Even though salmon was abundant in the Columbia River Gorge (and is famous even today for it), the travelers still preferred dog over the fish.

One time a Native American threw a live puppy into Lewis's bowl while Lewis was eating and started laughing at him hysterically to make fun of his taste for dog. As you might imagine, Lewis got really pissed!
