I would go on a Wednesday, Friday or Sunday, when they do not offer Early Entry.

Now, if you show up at the turnstiles at opening (aka 8 AM), you will wait about 20 to 30 minutes to enter the park, this is typical in the Summer period, so you realy need to get in line somewhere early.

But if you get in line around 30 minutes early, you should be one of the first at Nemo, and a short wait.

Now here is the funny thing. I went back after 2:00pm and the line had gotten shorter and was under 1.5 hours.

You might want to wait and take advantage of the shorter lines around the park and hit the subs later.

I would think that on a non EE day you could get in line at the gates early (7:15 to 7:30) and then head over to NEMO quickly and have a minimal wait.

Anyone done this yet? Yesterday was non-EE. I hope that works becauase that my plan on Wednesday the 27th.

I thought that rope drop was for regular guests, not early entry folks. I guess we need some clarification here.

The same days. IIRC, it's Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

I'll be staying at GC Sunday night and would like to use early entry, getting there at 7 AM.

If the subs don't run during early entry, what rides do run?

One could certainly be there for the rope drop, but not standing right at the rope. Plus, if you aren't as quick as other folks, well, you get the picture.

That had 100's, maybe even into 4 digits standing around the gates waiting for them to open at 8 AM, and a lot of folks were confused.

They did open the turnstiles at 8:30 AM and allowed everyone onto Main Street, but NOBODY was allowed past the rope until 9 AM.

Well, the large amount of folks, and the lack of any sort of line has guests forming multiple queues, one that was basically folks who entered thru the Main TL entrance (think past Buzz Lightyear), and another for folks who went behind the Matterhorn. It took them quite a bit of time to get everything straightened out.

The wait time around 9:30 AM was about 2 hours, and at 11 AM it was between 3 and 4 hours.

It didn't help that both Indy and HM was not available at opening for at least an hour due to operational issues.

Will they allow small strollers in the line? I'm thinking maybe waiting in line at nap time or evening while he's sleeping. Or can DH switch off back and forth standing in line? Maybe the baby switch pass? I can't think of any other way to try and do this and make this work.

However, when I went past the area later in the day at about 2:00 pm the line had dropped down to about an 1.5 hour wait.

I don't know if this was just a strangeness of the day, but going there first thing might not be the best thing unless you have a early entry pass.
