Netflix, oh how we love thee. How we laughed and cried during Orange Is The New Black, how we watched every episode of Breaking Bad in reverse order because we got into it way too late.Remember that time you showed us that we could lose days of our lives to Parks And Recreation, but still feel good about ourselves? We love Netflix for its television offerings but when it comes to movies, unless you’re a fan of low-budget horror films, the service is undeniably lacking — until right now. Starting in September, Netflix will begin streaming every single Disney movie. Yes. Every single Disney movie. Netflix Will Begin Streaming Every Single Disney Movie In September
Is this just the animated films, or all the live action ones too? If it's live action, I would be particularly excited since some of them are nearly impossible to find elsewhere (and some are real stinkers too) Of course I'm skeptical that it would actually be *every* film, since I really doubt they would release Song of the South in this manner
I'm with you Ferret. The article reads: "The service will be streaming literally everything under the Disney umbrella including every film by Pixar, Marvel and Lucasfilm." But still, wonder if it includes 'Million Dollar Duck' 'The Apple Dumpling Gang' and 'The Ugly Dachschund' That's worth signing up for Netflix.
"Monkeys, Go Home!", "The Biscuit Eater", "One of Our Dinosaurs is Missing", "Candleshoe", "Popeye"...there's a seemingly endless list of movies that have been gracefully forgotten with time I also wonder if this will include the shorts/featurettes, or if it will only be the feature length films. And if the old TV shows are combined into this, then there's a massive amount of material that hasn't been seen in decades
Everyone, stand down. This is another example of the total death of journalism in America. No, it is not every Disney movie ever. It's every Disney movie GOING FORWARD. Here's the original source story, from which some reading-comprehension-impared internet weenie (it appears to have been someone at Teen Vogue) somehow got "every Disney movie ever", which led to dozens of other internet weenies passing on the "news": Get Ready for Summer on Netflix US "Don't believe everything you read" no longer applies. We're now at "don't believe ANYTHING you read". Welcome to 2016.
Ah! That makes far more sense than the first article in this thread. I knew I should have been a little more suspicious of such big news coming from a website I'd never heard of before Does this mean that we'll see the end of Disney Movies Anywhere (and no future for DisneyLife in the US)? Or will that continue alongside Netflix? I'm not exactly sure what the verbage from Netflix means
Netflix says they will be the "exclusive US pay-tv home of the latest films" from Disney (and Marvel etc.) which I translate to mean that they'll just get them a few weeks before HBO does. I doubt that will have any impact on Disney Movies Anywhere, et al. Oh, and PS - I didn't intend to imply that anyone in this thread was a weenie. I was referring to the websites who were reporting this story without at least checking to see if it was true.
