As a very long time fan I think he will be excellent, some of the same type of humor as Tom Baker, but with more of an edge to be sure as shown in the battle scene conclusion in the special.

Also anyone else think Rose Tylers mother has far too large a role and that that characters 15 minutes of fame should have long since expired.

To my UK friends here....how was the 2nd season received compared to the first inthe UK ?

Kieran likes the new Dr Who.

He knows a few other people who watch it too.

I will ask Mr bloona when he gets out of the bath!!

He thought that it was because they returned to that area of London often and the Dr seems to be able to control the tardis more than he used to.

    Ok, think that's it.

The boys are trading home made DVD's of episodes and getting into character discussions and all that jazz. It looks like Dr. Who is going ot live on in yet another generation.

thanks for asking Mr Bloona... a couple of points...

1/ yes I find it odd the TARDIS is so much more 'stable' as to where it goes and when now

    2/ daleks & cybermen - Yeah !

3/ I agree with Mr Bloona that Eccleston had grown on me also - makes you wonder why someone takes that role for 1 year- then wants to leave so as not to be typecast - well duh !

4/ I think Tennant has a chance to become really special - ala Baker

5/ I am REALLY looking forward to season 3 with the return of Lis Sladen for a few episodes ---

as will be my 12 year old daughter:

Sarah Jane ( named after the character ) !

I must admit, I really like David Tennant, a lot. Even though I only saw the 1st 2 episodes (and he wasn't in the Christmas episode all that much). I like him a lot more than Tom Baker, already. (Tom Baker was my 1st exposure to the Doctor, and I liked him, too.) Tennant appears to have a quirkier (is that a word) sense of humor, especially with lines like "..saved the world in my jim-jambs...very Arthur Dent." or something to that effect.

I hope he stays for a while.
