I just finished watching J.D. in "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I sat there with my mouth open the entire movie trying to see even the slightest resemblance to Capt. Jack and I couldn't see it at all. Nothing, not his actions, his voice, his mannerisms...nothing. I have to admit that he is a very good character actor, albeit strange character.

Anyway, that's all I wanted to say. Maybe others will agree or disagree, but, I, for one, am impressed.

Yeah Johnny Depp is a pretty darn versatile actor. Its also good that his origins are low. A true rags to riches kind of story.

He sounds like an interesting guy.

That's a pretty far cry from his earlier hotel room trashing days. It just goes to show that people can and do mature.
