The area now houses the Stroller rental and storage area. In order to rent a stroller, guests have to access from the right side of the station as they walk into the MK. Guests can also enter from the left side but have to go around this huge wall that now is the stroller rental storage. And you may ask...what happened to the lockers??? Glad you asked. The locker area has been relocated to the former stroller rental and storage location on the very far right side of the MK entrance before you pass underneath the train station. This area has been totally refurbished and painted in pastels, so it is there now where lockers are found, along with public phones and ATM services. So heads up...if you need to rent a locker or stroller, then go to the right side of the Main Street Station as you enter the park.

The two locations are still quite close to each other. Any problem in one location would affect the other and the train station anyway. The stroller/locker location switch is is a compromise solution for strollers, and a pretty good one. But I sure wish strollers could instead be issued somewhere more on the side, out of the way of the overall inbound guest flow.

One time, there was this family from India carrying their grand mother in one of them. It was sad and hilarious at the same time. I felt bad because grandmama looked silly, with her skinny legs and feet hanging out the front of the stroller. People passing by would look back and laugh at them... but the family was oblivious that they had becomes a side freak show... Very sad. One of these days, some adult or big child will have a nasty accident and when it happens...I'd hope for Disney to be sued big time. maybe then..the insanity (and profit making over safety) will end. maybe.

Originally Posted By Labuda "I'd like to see them make the strollers umbrollers instead of those monstrosities they have now" Highly unlikely due to the fact that fabric can tear VERY easily, and you KNOW the Wal-Mart crowd won't take care of things that don't belong to them.

Hec, even if you just throw them in the garbage at the end of your trip, you're still saving a bundle! A one time purchase price of a "Disney umbroller" for length of stay $14, or $8.-$10 A DAY for a week???? Pretty pricey..and annoying especially for those Disney goers without children. Hec, I have two kids of my own and I get annoyed with those stupid "strollers"...Hey, I think I'm on to something!!!

In other words, the only part being thrown away was the dirty canvas part??? Huhhhh???? not bad.

If they were too small to fit larger people, they wouldn't be able to ride. And for the canvas thing, they have plastic-y mesh stuff (like what is found in playplaces at McDonalds) that they use in DL, that seems to work fine. Sure, the DL geusts do seem to take better care of the park, but it could still work. But what ever they do, make them smaller!
