All the missing Main Street/Hub benches were back there along with plenty of vendors both food and merch- Encouraging people to stick around and very few guidelines on where you could and couldn't go... Not a fan of using that space anyway but I understand why they do- but I really didn't like seeing it used like it was- Get people through not encourage them to linger there

Of course, letting guests wander backstage opens all sorts of bad possibilities, but I'm guessing those issues aren't a concern to TDO ... and I do believe they wouldn't need to use those areas IF they simply staffed the park adequetly during holidays like this ... even if you made folks walk to say the exit by going all the way to the back of the park first. I just saw fireworks on Fort Lauderdale Beach, which also provides great views of cities up and down the coast. Didn't get the great Disney music, but the pyro was right up there. Very nice. And the night didn't cost a thing until I decided to stop for a late dinner. Can't say I miss being at WDW for the 4th ... but I can say I miss being at DL ... last 4th there was either 2005 or 2007 (honestly can't recall).
